• Travelers Rest High School is proud to present the 2022 "The Devildog Invitational".

• We are keeping with the same pool-to-placement format. Individual pools of 4 are seeded. top 2 placers move on to placement brackets for 1st-4th and 5th-8th, respectively.

• Weight-classes with more than 16 wrestlers will have a single elimination pigtail into the pools.

• We want full pools with possible pigtails to ensure more overall wrestling, and few (if any) byes.

• If there are more than one pigtail in a weight class, the eliminated wrestlers will wrestle for additional match count.

• 5 match-max still counts. So, on the off chance a pigtail wrestler moves on to placement rounds, they will be capped at 5-matches. This may mean forfeiting their final placement match.

• *New This Season*: We will be taking applications/contracts to attend the tournament:

  • To keep the competition at the highest level

  • To ensure full pools for the tournament

  • To ensure the commitment levels of the participating teams

• Individual Tournament on 1/8/2022:

  • Fee will be $250. Cost Allocation Includes:

    • Custom Tournament Dog-tags to top 3 placers

    • Team trophies and MOW awards

    • Security / Police Presence

    • Referees / Officials

• Dual-Team Matches on 1/7/2021:

  • Fee will be $100

    • Only for teams competing in the individual tournament, to add to the overall match count.

    • The added fee covers the officials.

    • Dual-Team Matches combined with Individual Tournament will only count as 1 "date".
