Morning Routine In the morning, your child will unpack their bookbags, turn in their folder, and make their lunch choice. We do not check bookbags unless given a note so please let us know if we need to check for something.

Snack Your child may bring in a small snack for the afternoon. If your child does not have a snack, we will have crackers or something in the room.

Lunch Children will be expected to eat quietly (red cup) for 15 minutes and then will be allowed to whisper (green cup) for the remainder of lunch.

Parents are invited to have lunch with their child at any time. Parents eating in our cafeteria are expected to to purchase a school lunch (regular meal or salad) or to bring lunch from home. The Plain Cafe', just like any other restaurant, request that food items from outside eateries(fast food, etc.) not be brought to our restaurant. Nourishing, well-balanced meals are served each day for students and staff by Food and Nutrition Services.

Recess We will go outside every day unless it is raining. Please make sure to dress your child accordingly. We ask that your child does NOT wear flip flops or shoes with no backs. This is for their safety when playing.

Drills We will practice various drills throughout the year and follow school and district procedures.
