About Me........
Welcome to Ms. Ward's class. I have a true love of American history. I feel this love was developed and fostered due to caring and fun history teachers I had from middle school through high school. History tends to be a subject people enjoy with age unfortunately. My goal is to teach civics and history in a manner that students will learn to enjoy it at a youthful age. I like to tell a story not just present facts. We will be making lots of BIG PICTURE connections to understand the concepts.
I am a 1985 Mauldin High graduate. I graduated from Clemson University in 1990 and received my Masters in Education from Southern Wesleyan in 2004. This year is my 33rd year of teaching. I have taught US history for 30 years and this is my second year with Civics. My entire teaching career has been at Mauldin HS. I would not want to be anywhere else. I love the color orange, this community and this school. I think it is a great place to be!!!
