Brandon Smith

I am from the great and amazing state of Michigan where all locations can be pointed to with the use of a hand. I have been in South Carolina now for 17 years, and although I miss Michigan, I have come to see South Carolina as a wonderful home for my family. I am married to a very smart lady, and we have 4 incredible kids who wake up way too early every morning.

This is my 17th year teaching; 4 years in Jasper County and 13 years here at Sevier Middle School. I love sharing my passion for history with students who are just beginning to notice the larger world they live in. 6th grade Social Studies is such a marathon, but we do get to discover together how the world we live in today was formed and what it means for our tomorrow.

• I keep trying to learn Spanish... and mostly fail miserably

• I enjoy cooking
