Dear Parents,

Hola de la clase de Español! I am Timyra Hudson, and I will be your child’s Spanish teacher this year! Although the report card is an important part of home and school communication, it is not the only way to know how your child is doing. Throughout the year, your child will be working on many activities that will help him or her learn and gain proficiency in the Spanish language. Please take the time to review some of these activities and assignments with your child. They will give you various sources of information about what he or she is learning. Also, please review your child’s daily planner. It will contain homework assignments and notes from me when needed. Each student’s grade will be based on a variety of evidence such as notebook checks, participation, projects, presentations, tests, observations, and conversations.

In order to help each student stay organized, I have asked them to bring in a Spanish/English dictionary, and a 1 subject notebook. This notebook will only be used for Spanish class, and will contain course specific work. In an effort to go semi-paperless this year, I will be implementing a digital notebook through google sites. This will incorporate the use of Google Drive and classroom. We will assemble this in class. Please assist me in helping students to better access materials and become more organized.
