Hannah Smith (Swimming)

"Hannah Smith is an extremely hard-working and dedicated young lady. Her commitment to academic goes even deeper than her commitment to Greer as a two-sport letter winner. She is a student who always works to be a role model for behavior and attitude in her classes. Whether it is leading discuss or setting the right example, she can be counted on to be in the forefront. Last year Hannah worked tirelessly to improve her writing in my AP Literature class, requesting writers workshops and evaluation. Through her commitment she earned college credit last fall for at least one English course. Her commitment to improving is a clear example of what we mean by Greer Grit. As a teacher and her former coach, Hannah is an example of what we want all our student athletes to be."

"Austin is an outstanding student student and young man who pushes himself by taking the most challenging classes that Greer High School has to offer. He has establishing himself as one of the team’s leaders going into the 2020 cross country season. Through his efforts and commitment, he was a member of the 2019 AAAA Boys State Champions representing the ideals of what a student athlete can accomplish through hard work and dedication."

Greer Lady Yellow Jackets Volleyball

Greer High School Volleyball is a recipient of the 2019-20 USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award. This award honors teams who have matched their dedication to the sport of volleyball with excellence in the classroom. Meeting the award standards is an accomplishment of which we can be proud of.
