Hello! My name is Ashley Horton and I am so excited to be your second grade teacher! This is my seventh year teaching, and my third year at Oakview Elementary and I cannot wait to get to know each of the kids who will be in my class this year. We are going to have lots of fun while creating a safe and comfortable environment to learn and grow in.

I grew up in Virginia, but have lived in several parts of the country. I moved to the Greenville area 13 years ago with my family and have loved living here. I have an amazing husband, two sweet dogs (Remi & Cooper), two cats (Cleo & Goose) and we're expecting our first child, a little boy, this year in December! We love spending time together out on the lake, playing board games, or taking the dogs for walks. In my spare time, I love to read, travel or go ride my bike on Swamp Rabbit! I can’t wait to share more about me and learn about each of my students as the year goes on.
