Hello! My name is Leigh Amrhein, and I’m excited to be your second grade teacher this year! This is my 17th year teaching elementary school, and I truly enjoy helping students grow both academically and personally. I earned my degree in Early Childhood from Clemson, and I have my Masters + 30 in Reading and Elementary Education along with a certification in Gifted and Talented instruction. 

In my classroom, I believe in creating a positive and respectful environment where everyone feels safe to learn and express themselves. I enjoy incorporating creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking into our daily lessons. Outside of school, I love spending time with family and friends and getting to know the beautiful city of Greenville as I have just moved from Charleston. 

I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you and making this a fun and successful year together!
