MEET YOUR TEACHER:
Mrs. Fortson-Swedenburg is currently in the sixth year of her teaching career. This year will be her fifth year at Grove. This will be her second year as the k-2 multi-cat teacher. She is a University of Georgia Alumni having earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in special education there. Goooooo DAWGS!
FUN FACTS:
Her birthday is August 20th.
Her favorite color is pink.
If she could pick any drink, it would be ginger ale.
Her favorite snacks include rice cakes, plain Lays chips, and sour gummies.

Ms. Brashier has been at Grove for a total of 9yrs. She has been a a para-educator for 27 years. This will be her third year being apart of Mrs. Swedenburg's class.

Her favorite color is purple.
If she could pick any drink, it would be Pepsi.
Her favorite snacks include BBQ chips, plain chips, and Nutter Butter cookies.
Mrs. Jones has been at Grove for a total of five years. She is a third-year para here at Grove, and it is her 2nd year being a part of Mrs. Swedenburg's class.

My expectation is for students to do THEIR best. I understand that everyone's "best" effort may not look the same, and I make sure to honor that in my classroom. Students will work hard and expectations will be high, but I will also meet them where they are and on their level.
Please be sure to add yourself as a parent to our Class Dojo. Most parent/teacher communication will happen there. It is also updated regularly with our newsletter, school events, and other helpful resources throughout the year.
