Mission Statement

My desire for each of my students is that you will grow in your personal abilities and talents. This year, I will provide you with a variety of activities and experiences to educate in you in the visual arts. One of my main goals for you is that you gain the ability to appreciate art of all kinds through the understanding of design elements and principles. I look forward to working with each one of you as you seek to improve your ability in and understanding of visual arts.

Art Fees:

Check the MySchoolBucks link above or on our J.L. Mann homepage to see the fees for your specific art class. You may pay there easily online--preferred payment method--or you may pay your art teacher directly (your teacher will receipt you and give you a copy)--check or cash. Save a copy of your receipt whether your pay online or in person. 


Teacher Duty: 

2nd Semester--morning duty at the Patriot statue; 815--8:40 


Office Hours: 

1st Semester: Monday--Friday: 1st Period; quick questions only. In-depth help time is listed below under "Extra Help and Tutoring."

2nd Semeser: Monday--Friday: 4th period, first 20 minutes; quick questions only. In-depth help time listed below under "Extra Help and Tutoring."


Extra Help and Tutoring: 

My after school help time is every Wednesday morning, from 7:50--8:30 and every Wednesday afternoon from 3:35--4:00.

AP Art History study help: I will hold a study workshop with you before school on days before a scheduled APAH test. Please, let me know a day in advance if you plan to attend. I want to be ready for you so we can get the most out of our study time.

Google Classroom:

Please, join my Google Classroom this year. I have a classroom set up for each class by class period. You will find slide presentations for notes and assignments posted here. If you do not have a computer at home, you may use your personal electronic device, provided it has WiFi capabilities.

College Board Classroom Code for AP Art History: 

*You are required to join both classrooms. Progress assessments will take place on College Board Classroom.

   Miscellaneous assignments and review games will take place on Google Classroom.


Exam study guides for Art 1 and Crafts are located at the bottom of each class home page on this website.  Midterm Exam study guide for APAH will be posted later 2nd semester. Feel free to download or view online to study.
