Originally from Florida, my family moved to Greenville in 2017. I taught for 4 years in Central Florida and taught virtually for 2.5. Those virtual years were spent teaching English to students living in China! Inspired by my experiences in educational tech, I later took a Computer Lab position with an elementary school in Greenville County. With this job, I was challenged to learn creative ways to engage my students, and I feel fortunate to have learned how to implement tech in the classroom that feels relevant to the students. We experimented with coding, color block coded with robots, learned proper typing skills, and even wrote books! 

I have 4 amazing kids, all of whom attend AJW. Our family is literally a team, and I try to bring the same goals and expectations I have as a mom to the classroom. We root for each other, we support each other, and we practice accountable talk and having a growth mindset.
