#FACSENIORSHOW2020

Each spring our graduating class envisions, curates, and installs a select group of works from every senior in the Visual Arts Department. This exhibition is a culmination of their work at the Fine Arts Center (FAC), and is visited by students, faculty, parents, and the community. Due to the unprecedented circumstances of COVID-19, the exhibition is taking place in a digital format this year. Though we miss the opportunities the gallery exhibition would have provided for our students, we are happy to offer this digital version to a wider audience!

The student portfolios are a collection of works made throughout their time at the FAC in each of the studio classes offered by the Visual Arts Department - Ceramics, Design, Drawing/Painting, Fiber, Metals, and Photography.

In addition to the online exhibition, every Visual Arts senior will be featured on our Instagram page for a senior takeover happening throughout the month of May. Follow @fac_visualarts to see additional images of their work, plus the art they are making in their home workspaces - enjoy!

- CLASS OF 2020 -

The Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Greenville County School District was established in August of 1974 as the first pre-professional arts school in the state of South Carolina for gifted and talented high school students in the Fine, Visual, and Performing Arts. Since its opening, thousands of students have chosen to become members of this unique community in which individual talent and expression are nourished in a supportive environment and stimulated by instructors who are themselves highly regarded professionals in their fields. The Fine Arts Center offers the highest level of instruction in Architecture, Creative Writing, Dance (Ballet and Modern), Digital Filmmaking, Music (Chamber Strings, Jazz, Voice, Winds/Brass/Percussion), Theatre (Performance and Design/Production), and Visual Arts. Students attend class 5 days a week for 110 minutes, participate in performances and gallery exhibitions at the FAC and throughout the Greenville community, and are active in the Greenville professional artist community. The FAC is a regular recipient of local, regional, and national recognition through grant opportunities and adjudicated contests. Our students are an annual fixture in the Scholastic Art Awards (Architecture, Visual Arts, and Creative Writing), Region and All-State Music Ensembles, and the National YoungArts program.
