This website is for students, but it is also for parents! I want parents to have the ability to know what their child is learning and how they can help support that learning. To the right is an image of our homepage. Start by clicking on the button that represents the math class that your child is in or by using the quick link to visit PowerSchool to check your child's grades (scroll down - not shown on image).
Each class will have three options to choose from: Daily Schedule, Lessons & Materials, and Math Websites.
If you click on the Daily Schedule, you will see a calendar showing what lesson or activity is being done in class each day of the month.
If you click on Lessons & Materials, you will see a list of units that we have covered or are covering. The highest-numbered unit is the one we are currently working on. Select a page number (which corresponds to your child's math notebook) and you will find a video lesson, lesson slides, lesson notes, and the assignment for that lesson (if assigned). You can also choose extra online practice that has been assigned.
If you click on Math Websites, you will see the websites and applications that we use regularly during math class. If you click on "Class Codes" there are quick links and join codes for the websites that we use.
Start by learning all that you can on the Parent Portal. Ask to see your child's math notebook and ask them what they are learning about in math class. You can also look at the class calendar to see what they are learning about every day. You can also watch the videos of the lessons that are taught in class if you need a refresher on how to do the math that we are learning.
