About Digital Camp 2017
As a Digital community in Greenpeace, we have achieved great things in the past few years, but this is just the beginning. Our potential in this channel is tremendous. At Digital Camp 2017, we aim to raise the bar and kick our work into a higher gear.
In the past, the DMS (Digital Mobilisation Skillshare) was run on an annual basis by the Mobilisation Lab and it was incredibly popular, but since it was discontinued in 2014, we haven’t had the chance to come together as a community. It has become obvious to us at the Global Engagement Department that this event is well overdue because so many people have been asking about another skillshare for Digital practitioners.
Your voices have been heard!
Agenda:
This event will not be a replica of the DMS. Although we want to keep the things that made the DMS so successful (e.g. participant driven content, a platform for sharing, and a diverse group of participants), we also want to fill some of the skill gaps in our organisation. This means that there will be more training on the agenda and thus the agenda will be slightly less open as before.
There will be plenty of space for us to seize this opportunity to set our sights higher and figure out how we can achieve more together. This event will also not be specific to mobilisation, but instead cover any areas that are related to Digital.
We will be listening to participants before the event to put together the agenda. So far we have identified the following key areas that we want to address:

External Guests:
External perspective and case studies are essential for us as an organisation to continue to innovate and operate in this ever-changing environment. We are on the look-out for some external people to join as to provide a range of roles including: case studies, best practice, and training.
If you think that this could be you, please contact michael.parker@greenpeace.org.
If you are invited as an external guest, we will happily pay for travel, accommodation and food.
