MISSION
Green Local Theatre Department promotes performance excellence, builds artistic community, and prepares students for their roles in life beyond the stage
VISION
Our Theatre Department produces dramatic arts and musical theatre arts performances annually and educates and trains students in the technical and performance-based opportunities:
Instruct performing arts– that strengthen students’ artistic expression, core values, and emotional management through physical movement and vocal technique
Perform various multicultural, historically relevant musical theatre that inspire social change in the youth of the community and create well-rounded individuals
Re-imagine and revitalize the role of performing arts as a portal to the professional world focusing on business management, marketing, finances, legal, and media studies

Green Local Schools is known for its prestigious fine arts programs. The Theatre Department strives to inspire, instruct, and invest in our students' creative and artistic processes throughout their time at Green. The Green Administration and Fine Arts Departments work together with the Theatre Department’s creative team for intermediate, middle, and high school productions and training in the theatre and musical arts. Throughout the program’s history, Green Local has provided a variety of professional-level theatre for students and the community. We promise to provide accessible, equitable, and student-centered learning for all students with all Green Local Theatre productions!
