Hello gamers!
I am excited to announce that E-Sports is back again this year at Green! There have been some new changes in regards to how sign up work. Parents will still be using the Google Form for the initial sign up. At the first E-Sports meet, students will receive a printed sign up from that must be filled out and returned. Without this signed form, a student cannot participate.
Another change is that tryouts are no longer a part of E-Sports. Instead I will be letting all kids practice for months and then hold a mini competition to prove their skills to each other. This allows me to see who has progressed the most and build the teams from there. Due to budget constraints, many local school have dropped their Esports program, which has made it very difficult for player to play each other. In the event this happens, a in house tournament will be held at Green for the student to determine the best player.
I know this can be disappointing to some, but the program's main goal is to bring Green students closer together through competitive gameplay.
The first Esports after school meeting will take place Wednesday, February 4th. It will run after school until 4:30 PM. Pick up will be by the middle school wing doors near the staircase. This will be due to basketball and play dismissal taking up the main lobby area.
Practice Days and Times: TBD
First Official Meet: Wednesday February 4th
Pick up location:
Side Entrance from the parking lot, which leads to the middle school hallway. Stem students usually use this exit as well.
