Jasmine Barnett

My name is Jasmine Barnett and I serve as the 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher. This is my fifth year serving at the middle school, in which I count a great honor. I am passionate about students and education. I spent eleven years I have been blessed to serve in higher education teaching and leading various ministry initiatives at Campbellsville University. 

I am very passionate about education and truly believe it to be the door of opportunity for students. I am a proud Campbellsville University alumni. During my time there I earned the following degrees: Bachelors Social Studies Education 5-12, Master of Theology w/an emphasis in Pastoral Leadership, and my most recently I graduated in December 2020 with a Masters of Divinity focus area being Ministry & Missions. I am currently working on my Doctorate of Education at University of the Cumberlands.

Other roles I play in the district are Athletic Director for GCMS, Academic Team Coach for the middle and high school teams. I also lead diversity initiatives in our district. Aside from being an educator I serve as the Administrative Pastor/Youth Pastor at Life Church Albany.  I love to travel, play music and spend time with family and friends.
