My name is Amy Durham, and I grew up in Green County. I graduated from Green County High School in 1992 and attended Campbellsville University, where I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees. This is my 26th year teaching at Green County Middle School.
I live in Taylor County with my husband Kevin, a recently retired elementary music teacher. Our son Eli (a recent graduate of East Tennessee State University) is the sound engineer for East Nash Grass, a very popular Bluegrass group, and he travels all over the country as they tour and play at music festivals. He is engaged to Ella Cate Bishop (a GCHS alum and former chorus superstar!) and they plan to be married on May 2, 2026. Our son Reece is in his final year of Aviation Technician and Maintenance school at Somerset Community College, and this time next year he will be somewhere working on airplanes.
This November our chorus & drama students will be presenting "Once on This Island, JR". We are so excited to bring this production to our community, and we hope you will join us on November 24 and 25 at the GCHS Auditorium!
