Hello! I am the 8th grade science teacher at McAuliffe, but I also teach social studies, computer science & coding, and science investigations. I am extremely happy to be here, and I am even happier to be working with an amazing staff, and for amazing administrators. I am married to my wife Rachel, who also works for the district as a school counselor, and we have two amazing kids. We also have a cat named Sugarplum. My absolute favorite things to do are hanging out with my family, fishing, hiking, riding my bicycle, running, and reading. Prior to teaching, I was a firefighter for almost 10 years in Texas, and had made the rank of lieutenant before leaving the fire service. I received a bachelors degree in Emergency Management from West Texas A&M University, a masters in Public Administration from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and I'm currently working on a second masters degree from Colorado State University in Natural Sciences Education. I'm looking forward to learning more about your family as we progress together through the year!
