Background Information

The State Personnel Development Grant is a five-year grant awarded to the Special Education Unit of the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) in October 2015. The grant continues through the 2019-2020 school year. This grant was received from the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). This grant is managed by the Great Rivers Education Service Cooperative, which directly employes SPDG personnel.

Job Description

The SPDG/SSIP has an immediate opening for an Administrative Analyst. An Administrative Analyst performs various duties from clerical tasks to budgetary and business operations review. Their role is to make their employer’s company more efficient by analyzing different aspects of the business, such as finances and employee productivity, and by developing strategies and techniques to improve them.

● Mastery of basic math

● Knowledge of business operations practices

● Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint

● Google Certification (or ability to demonstrate proficiency)

Duties and Responsibilities

● Provide administrative support to the SPDG Director and SSIP Coordinator

○ Track grant expenditures, monitor line items on budget, code accounts payable

○ Make travel arrangements (hotel, flights, conference registration, reimbursements)

○ Book large meeting spaces and assist with conference set ups

■ Must be able to lift 40 pounds

○ Take notes during meetings (summarize reports)

● Contribute to a multi-unit office

○ Phone rotation

○ Troubleshoot computer, copier, postage, and fax machine errors/issues

○ Inventory control (asset management, order office supplies)

● Assist SPDG Director with time and leave for staff

○ Monitor weekly/ summarize monthly/ report bi-annually

● Monitor timelines and collect data for reporting
