The Eras Tour concert became a movie where you can sing and dance along too. In fact, the staff of the movie theater encourages it.
The smell of popcorn and excitement filled the air as Taylor Swift fans started piling into the dark Regal Theater in Glens Falls. There were Taylor Swift popcorn buckets and plastic cups for your favorite drink that had the Eras photos of her. The combo for the bucket and cup was $19.89, or, in other words, the year she was born and the name of one of her albums 1989. People were wearing friendship bracelets that they made to trade that were inspired by “You're on Your Own Kid” where the lyrics state “So make the friendship bracelets.” Swifties were wearing outfits that matched some of Taylor’s music videos. Some of the outfits were t-shirts that say “Junior Jewel” from her music video “You Belong with Me.” Even the staff had friendship bracelets on.
The countdown for the movie started at thirteen seconds, which is her lucky number and some could even say that “Sparks Fly” as the intro begins. Just like the concerts, the movie started off with the song “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince '' with Taylor in her gemstone body suit. The dark room was filled with Taylor's voice, and people of all ages singing along. It was definitely a wholesome sight. The audience was connected through the music.
Throughout the three-hour-long movie, fans were singing, dancing, chanting, and clapping from their seats when not dancing in the aisles. Taylor sang songs from all of her albums and acoustics as well. The movie showed close-ups, such as front-row seats at a concert with the sound of her voice being so clear.
The movie was exciting and fun, as well as a good workout for moviegoers. It ended with the song “Karma.” For this, she put on her fuzzy coat and began dancing with her backup dancers. Sadly, the movie was done when everyone took a bow. The song “Long Live” played through the speakers and the credits rolled until a message from Taylor in friendship bracelet form filled the screen saying “Thank you to the most generous, thoughtful, loving fans on the planet. This is all because of you and for you.” This movie is definitely something that needs to be seen. It was a great experience and would be rated five out of five stars. I highly recommend it.
