GR Read Information

What is gr read?

GR Read was started in 2021 to encourage and help students be successful in reading. Students start with taking the STAR test which will give them a zone of proximal development (ZPD). We encourage students to check out a book in their ZPD for reading growth. Once a book is selected, it is logged on the GR Read form. Students are required to check out ONE book of choice per nine weeks, log it, and then test over it using Accelerated Reader.

GR read reading due dates

There is plenty of time in the nine weeks to read a book! You could read several if needed. If you are not liking the book you picked, ditch it and start over! It is important to read about the book before checking it out. Don't pick it because of the cover. Find a way to get invested in your book!
