How to use the A Level Geography Revision Site

Using the Revision Site and the application of knowledge and understanding:

• The A Level Geography Revision Site is available for you to use alongside your revision for your examinations.
• You may wish to use this to consolidate your own revision notes and knowledge. The revision notes on the site are the minimum. They are a framework for you to develop, adding case study detail and application.
• You need to be able to form your own judgement on geographical issues and provide evidence from your studies.

Interactive quizzes and self-assessment activities:

• There are a variety of interactive quizzes and self-assessment activities throughout the revision site. These allow you to consolidate your knowledge and understanding of particular key areas in each topic.
• These provide immediate feedback where you can see how a score.

Additional resources and further readings:

• At the bottom of each page for each topic there is a section at the bottom titled 'Additional resources'. In this section is a range of extension tasks to further your knowledge and understanding for particular key areas in each topic. These tasks provide you with a wider understanding of geographical issues in the wider world. This is important to be able to both demonstrate further knowledge and apply it, if necessary, in an examination.

Exam practice:

• Accompanying the revision notes is a selection of exam questions. These are guided questions available for you to answer, first independently, and then follow back on the website.
• Each guided question takes you through destructing the question, forming an answer, checking your answer and then reviewing your answer. Model answers are available to understand what the examiners are been looking for.
