Welcome to the homepage for Visual Arts at Arcadia and Bennion Elementaries! Our art program is supported by the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program, which is in over 400 schools throughout the state. As a BTSArts classroom, we integrate the Visual Art state core standards with concepts from other grade level standards (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies). We use a variety of media and techniques, and talk about art history and modern art displays! Through art, we can make new connections and learn about our world!

Art class is 45 minutes every two weeks for Kindergarten through 5th grade! We usually begin class with a self-starter, and end with clean up. Students keep most of their art in a folder (provided for them) in the Art Room, and they bring it all home at the end of the school year!
Expected Behavior in Art Class:
Raise your hand before you speak
Raise your hand before leaving your seat
Follow all the instructions
Take care of the supplies
If the teacher claps, clap twice, fold your arms, and listen
*We also practice KYHFOOTY and use kind and appropriate language.
Students earn individual and class rewards for showing expected behavior during Art throughout the year!
About Me
I graduated from the University of Utah with a BFA in Art Teaching, emphasizing Painting and Drawing. Later I earned an MAT from Westminster College in Elementary Education (K-6). I enjoy spending creative time with students where they can express ideas and strengthen skills!
