A semester-long program where students rotate through different healthcare settings. Participants observe professionals in a variety of medical careers, explore healthcare pathways, and build valuable professional connections.
This program is observation-based and does not meet GSD’s “Internship” class credit requirement.
Students receive Exploring Work-Based Learning (WBL) credit on their transcript.
Students who attend all sessions will earn a Certificate of Completion from Crossroads AHEC.
The certificate lists “Crossroads AHEC Internship,” which can be included on résumés and college applications as an internship experience.
*Attend every scheduled session
*Complete required paperwork and immunizations/TB testing in advance
*Provide own transportation
*Have 4th period open on either an A Day or B Day
