Our fundamental course takes place every Friday 7 - 9pm at Get Active @ Beacon (Leisure Centre), Kepplehills Rd, Bucksburn, Aberdeen AB21 9DG. 

The course starts with the very basics of skate skills and grows as you do. These are called our minimum skills. 

On the course you will learn the “minimum skills”. These are the fundamental skating skills that are needed to progress into advanced sessions. With minimum skills, these will build up your knowledge and ability to be safe and confident on track. Once basic skills are covered it's time to put it into play, we then introduce gameplay and contact. You get the opportunity to have a fundamental scrim (which is a low level mini game of roller derby) finishing the course with a graduation scrim. 

 At the end of the course you have the opportunity to progress to our advanced sessions, our WFTDA aligned skaters and/or our OTA (OpenToAll) skaters. As you join us each week you will be asked to join the funders channel on discord where you can find all the information on the course. You can ask questions here and get help from the coaches and mentors, join social events and become a teamie.
