In 2017, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Division of Behavioral Health created a new intensive residential living program called the Homes with Adult Residential Treatment (HART). This program provides a type of housing that is integrated with mental health treatment services for Idahoans who have Severe and Persistent Mental Illness. The HART home provides a safe and therapeutic homelike environment. The greatest benefit of the HART model is that it allows for clinical treatment interventions for addressing behavioral health-related issues to avoid escalation to crisis or an emergency facility.
Harmony House Assisted Living has one of only four facilities in the state that provide this level of service. We have a goal-oriented approach to promote and empower each client.
The HART program includes a mental health agency to work alongside the resident whether in the home, or in the community. Lookout Behavioral Health was created with to provide a 24- hour on call for crisis, clinician, peer supports and community-based rehabilitation services (CBRS) who all work together for the client. Services at the HART include: 1:1 in a community setting, weekly therapy, groups, wrap around services, and assistance in setting and maintaining your goals.
