I have recently moved from Midland to Granbury and am excited to begin my seventeenth year in education at Granbury Middle School. I have taught at both the elementary and secondary level, provided intervention for reading and dyslexia, and have served in campus administration. My happy place is in the classroom helping students become better readers and writers! My greatest joy is found with my husband, adult children and especially with my grandchildren! My hobbies include exploring nature, photography, and kayaking . I am looking forward to a year of health, happiness, and learning.
In this classroom, whether virtual or live, we will continually strive to be respectful of ourselves, others, and the world around us. I chose the theme of the coffeehouse for our class this year to help establish a comfortable, inclusive environment. I encourage you to share your own flavor of learning with those around you and to be open to trying new, unfamiliar things as well. In such an unprecedented time, it's important to remember that we all can contribute and we can all lean on others.
I look forward to working with you to challenge ourselves and learn all we can this year!
Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.
