Class Overview
Acton Middle School Choir is a family that strives to maintain high standards of excellence. You can count on our instructors to create a safe and positive learning environment for our students. We will continue to learn and grow as singers, musicians, and become better citizens in our school and beyond.
Award Winning
AMS Choir is an award winning program; they receive superior ratings at UIL competitions every year. They have recently been selected as a National Winner in the 2022 Mark of Excellence / National Choral Honors project. Granbury ISD choral programs have a history of excellence and that is shown through their multiple performances as honor choirs at TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) over the years.
About me
Mr. Walters is originally from California. He has a B.A. from Pepperdine University and an M.Ed. from Tarleton State. This is Mr. Walters' 19th year in Granbury with a total of 29 years in teaching. He is married to Misty Walters and has three children, Andrew, Mathew, and Nathan. He loves to cook, eat, and watch his kids play ball.
About me
Miss Ross was born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma. She has a B.S. from East Central University and a M.Ed from UTA. This is Miss Ross' sixth year teaching and her third year at AMS. She loves to travel, hike, and cook yummy meals.
