Jimmy Guinn Scholarship

Jimmy Guinn Scholarship

Jimmy Guinn was born and raised in Graham, Texas and his lifelong friend Ronnie Blackstock established this scholarship upon Jimmy’s death in 1989. Jimmie Guinn was born and raised in Graham, began college at the University of Texas at Austin on a football scholarship, and graduated from Arlington State College, now UTA, in 1961. He had a successful business career and, more importantly, became a mighty Christian servant. Mr. Guinn would not have been able to attend college without scholarship financial support. The recipient is chosen based on their commitment to their faith in God and desire to attend college with a definite financial need. Jimmy Guinn worked hard to graduate from college even though classes were not easy for him. His faith and work ethic enabled him to become a successful businessman, husband, father and servant of God.
