26th June 2026
As we come to the end of another busy week, I would like to thank everyone for the way our school community responded to the exceptionally hot weather.
I have been incredibly impressed by the resilience of our pupils, who continued to learn with enthusiasm while adapting to the warmer conditions. Our staff worked hard to ensure classrooms remained as comfortable as possible, making adjustments to timetables, encouraging regular water breaks, and providing opportunities for children to stay cool and safe throughout the day.
A special thank you also goes to our families for ensuring children came to school with water bottles, sun hats, and appropriate clothing. Your support made a real difference and helped us keep everyone safe and comfortable.
As we move further into the summer term, we will continue to monitor the weather closely and take any necessary steps to ensure the wellbeing of all members of our school community.
Thank you for your continued support, and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Every Minute Counts: Arriving at School on Time ⏰
We kindly remind all parents and carers of the importance of arriving at school on time each day.
The school gates open at 8:40am, and children begin their school day at 8:55am. All children should be in school and ready for class by this time.
Please ensure your child arrives at school on time each morning. Children arriving after 8:55am will receive a late mark.
When children are late, they miss important early learning activities, instructions, and routines that help them feel settled, prepared, and confident for the day ahead. Missing this valuable time can make it more difficult for them to engage fully in their learning.
Please support your child by ensuring they arrive on time, ready to learn and begin the day positively.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a calm, focused, and productive learning environment for everyone.
📧 Arbor – Don't Miss Important School Updates
If you are not receiving emails from the school, please check your spam or junk folder and mark our emails as safe so they arrive in your inbox.
We send a weekly bulletin as well as all important school updates, announcements, and communications via Arbor. Missing these emails could mean missing important information about school events, trips, and notices.
If you have checked your spam folder and are still not receiving our emails, please contact the school office so we can help ensure your contact details are correct.
Hot Weather Reminder
With hot weather forecast continuing, please ensure children come to school with: 🧢 Sun hat 💧 Water bottle 🧴 Sunscreen applied before arrival (do not send sunscreen in) 👕 Lightweight uniform-compliant clothing 👟 Open-toe shoes, including Crocs, are not permitted for health and safety reasons.
Please note: handheld fans and sunglasses should not be brought to school. Please label all items clearly.
🎪☀️ Summer Fair - Thank you 🎉
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our Summer Fair. We are delighted to share that we raised an amazing £2,378 for the school playground fund.
This fantastic achievement would not have been possible without the generosity of our school community and the hard work of our PTA, who worked tirelessly to organise such a hugely successful event.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to sharing updates on how these funds will benefit our pupils.
☀️🏖️Reception Classes Seaside Adventure 🌊🍦
This week, Reception classes had a fantastic time transforming their garden into a seaside paradise on a beautiful sunny day. The children were thrilled to discover their very own beach area, where they spent the day enjoying a variety of fun-filled activities. They worked together to build impressive sandcastles, showing great creativity and teamwork, while others joined in exciting beach ball games that kept everyone active and smiling.
The fun didn’t stop there! The children also enjoyed making their own pretend ice creams, using their imagination to create delicious-looking treats. Laughter and excitement filled the air as friends played together, shared ideas, and made wonderful memories in the sunshine.
It was the best time ever, and everyone had an amazing time making the most of the warm weather and enjoying a special beach experience right in their garden.
