3rd July 2026
What a fabulous week at Grafton! Sports Day was a huge success — every year group took part and each pupil enjoyed an ice lolly to cool down. Huge thanks to Mr Stefan, our PE coach, whose energy and cheerful leadership across the week made the event run so smoothly. Thank you also to all the staff who supported the activities and to our Year 6 pupils, who developed strong leadership skills while helping to run the day. We were delighted to welcome many parents who came to watch.
The London Opera House visited to film a piece with our pupils — an outstanding opportunity which involved over 90 children across three year groups. The pupils were brilliant: they loved the dance workshop and produced a truly inspiring performance.
Well done to everyone who took part — a memorable week of sport, music and enrichment.

Our Story, Our Faces: A Celebration of Local Legends
This summer, we were proud to partner with Valence House Museum on a creative project celebrating Global Icons and Local Legends. The collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to building strong hyperlocal partnerships that connect local residents with the rich history and culture of our local community.
Inspired by the collection, they created their own expressive portraits, celebrating their individuality and recognising that our young people are the local legends of tomorrow.
The finished artworks now form Our Story, Our Faces—a striking installation of 60 self-portraits displayed in Valence House Museum Tearoom. As a welcoming community hub where people of all ages come together, it's the perfect place to showcase the creativity, confidence and talent of local young people.
This inspiring exhibition demonstrates the value of working in partnership with cultural organisations to create meaningful opportunities for young people while bringing our community together through art.
Valence House invites everyone to visit the Tearoom and enjoy Our Story, Our Faces, on display until the end of September. Click on the link to see more information(photo attached)
