Message from Mrs Bana
"It is not our differences that divide us, but our inability to recognise, accept, and celebrate those differences.” — Audre Lorde
Today, our pupils were privileged to welcome a special guest, Mpula Lawton, founder of ARISE: Anti-Racism in Schools and Education. During the assemblies, pupils engaged in meaningful discussions about racism and related behaviours such as bullying.
Miss Lawton passionately emphasised the importance of celebrating our differences, learning from one another, and showing respect to everyone, reminding us all that our diversity is a strength to be embraced.
Thank you all for your patience during our Library building works. I wish you a wonderful weekend :)
🔔Important Safety Notice for Parents and Carers 🔔
From Monday, there will be no access to the school site during break and lunchtimes. This measure is in place to keep all children safe and well supervised while they are on the playground and moving around the school.
We kindly ask parents and carers not to enter the school grounds during these times.
If your child has a pre-arranged appointment and you need to collect them during break or lunchtime, please press the buzzer at the main gate and wait. A member of the office staff will collect your child and bring them out to you.
To help us manage this process safely and efficiently, we request that parents complete this Form at least 48 hours prior to the appointment, so that office staff are aware in advance. Whenever possible, please try to make medical appointment for your child/ren outside of school hours.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in helping us keep all children safe.

🌳OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning)🌳
Outdoor play is an important part of our school day, and as we continue our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) journey, we aim to give children the opportunity to enjoy being outside whenever possible 🌤️🍃
During wet weather, we kindly ask that children come to school with a suitable waterproof coat ☔ and, where possible, a pair of Wellington boots 👢. Wellington boots can be brought into school in a named plastic bag and kept on the children’s pegs. This will help ensure that all children can continue to access outdoor play, even when the weather is wet 🌧️
Of course, in cases of torrential rain or unsafe weather, children will remain indoors 🏫. However, as you know, many children love the chance to play outside in the rain and splash in the occasional puddle 💦😁
Thank you for your continued support in helping us provide positive, fun, and enriching outdoor experiences for all children 🌈🌱
🏃♂️🏃♀️ Year 3 & Year 4 Sports hall Athletics Event 🏅
On Wednesday 28th January, a mixed group of our Year 3 and Year 4 children proudly represented the school at a Sports hall Athletics event held at Sydney Russell School.
The children took part in a wide range of exciting track and field activities, including javelin, relay races, hurdles, standing long jump and speed jump. Throughout the event, they showed fantastic determination, teamwork and sportsmanship, supporting one another and giving every challenge their best effort.
It was wonderful to see both boys and girls participating enthusiastically and embracing the opportunity to compete, improve their skills and enjoy being active alongside pupils from other schools. The event provided a great chance for our children to build confidence, try new events and experience competitive sport in a positive environment.
Well done to everyone who took part – you were a credit to the school!🌈🏆
