Mr. Runyon

Hello! My name is Mr. Runyon. I am very excited to be your 5th grade teacher this year. I am entering my 11th of year of teaching and my 6th year at Palisades! Before Palisades, I taught 5 years of 5th grade in Wisner, NE. I am looking forward to a great year!

I live in Gretna with my wife, Megan, and our two boys, Hudson and Hayes.  Hudson is 8 and Hayes is 5. We enjoy spending time together as a family and playing outside. One thing I really love is music. I play drums at my church and enjoy playing and listening to all kinds of music. You will notice we listen to a lot of music in the classroom and use it to enhance our learning environment.

I attended Wayne State College on a football scholarship and earned my Education degree in 2011. I also have a Masters Degree in School Administration from Wayne State College. I was born in Memphis, TN and moved to Bloomfield, NE in 7th grade. I still love the Memphis Tigers basketball team, but on Saturdays in the fall you will find me cheering loud for the Huskers! I hope you know a little bit about me and I can't wait to learn more about you this year!
