Important Notes and Reminders

• Pictures: We are creating a foldable to go with our memoir writing unit. The kids need to bring two pictures of themselves for their foldable. One picture needs to be of their early years (birth-kindergarten), and the other needs to be a current picture of themselves. We will be gluing these pictures onto their foldable, so make sure they bring a picture that you are okay with them gluing on a project. Also, make sure the pictures are no bigger that a 4x6. Pictures were due on Monday, April 29.

• D.A.R.E. Graduation: Our D.A.R.E. Graduation is on Wednesday, May 15 at 2:00pm. Parents are welcome to attend if you would like to come.

• 6th Grade Band: An email was sent out to all parents from either Mrs. Malone or Mrs. Tucker about middle school band next year. All parents must complete the form whether your child is planning to be in band or not. If you have any questions please reach out to either amalone@gpsne.org or ctucker@gpsne.org.

• Fort Atkinson on Friday: We will leave at 8:45 and arrive at Fort Atkinson by approximately 9:30. For parents who plan to attend, please meet us there at 9:30 as well. You will need to purchase a State Park Pass for $6 at the Visitor's Center. We will eat lunch around 12:00pm. Each child will need to bring a fully disposable sack lunch. Also, make sure your child dresses appropriately for walking outdoors most of the day. We will return to Whitetail around 2:45pm.

• Lip Sync Practice: We are practicing for our lip sync battle during our WIN time and our recess time. The kids will be allowed to have their phones out during this time to play their song and practice their lip sync routine. Any student using their phone for any other purpose other than playing their song during this time, will be eliminated from participating. 

• Our Lip Sync Battle is on Friday, May 17 from 2:00-3:00pm. Parents are welcome to attend.

• Library Books: All library books are due back by Friday,  May 10th.
