Ms. Veloz's Art Classroom 

 Hello! I'm the Art Teacher (Ms.Veloz) at MacArthur Elementary, I teach Pre-K through 5th grade! 

Class Overview!

During the school year, we will explore and learn about the Elements of Art and Principles of Design when creating 2-D or 3-D art pieces. We will be exposed to art history and jobs within the Art field, evaluate art pieces, analyze artists and art movements. We will create art pieces based on our abilities and apply and grow our art skills whether in drawing, painting, printmaking, weaving, digitally, and or sculpture. 

About me

Hello! My name is Ms. Veloz! Nice to meet you! I am excited to be your child's Art Teacher for this academic school year! I became an Art Teacher through the University of Houston Clear Lake #GoHawks! As a child, I was always drawn to the arts! I grew up learning to create and ever since then I would love to share art history, art skills, and more with your child(ren)! A bit about me: I'm the oldest of 4 siblings, I have a fraternal twin, and we were born in Houston, TX! I have 2 dogs that I adore. Some of my hobbies are hanging out with my friends, creating art whenever I can, singing, and playing instruments. My favorite color is navy blue, some dark rich colors, as well as some pastels; and I don't like to stick to one medium for a long time. I have had experience working for Galena Park ISD for 8 years! I invite you to follow along with your child's journey in his/her experience in the Art Class!
