What will my student be working on in class?

We will be focusing on the 5 strands of Social Studies when discussing each unit in class.

How can my student turn their work in for your class?

The students will turn their work in through Google Classroom and on traditional paper assignments.

What are your office hours?

Currently, my office hours are during 3rd and 6th period (please refer to my teacher schedule on the homepage!)

Is there homework for this class?

Unless the student is not able to finish their work, it should be completed in class (short answer-no)

How can I make sure my student is doing their work?

You can fill out a Google Classroom access form (click here!) , or by checking Skyward. I will be posting grades every Friday afternoon.

What supplies will my student need?

Composition notebook, pencils, colored pencils, glue sticks, highlighters.

My student is having an issue, how can I contact you?

If your student is having any issues at all, please feel free to contact me using the information on the homepage. I will be happy to help! your students can also see me anytime during the day to talk. I'm always here to help!

When are tutorials?

Tutorials are every Wednesday from 4-5.

My student is failing! What can we do to bring their grade up?

If your student is failing, please first check to see if they are missing any assignments! If they are still failing, I ask that you email me so that we can discuss a plan to help your student succeed at amlopez@galenaparkisd.com
