What will my student be working on in class?

Your student will be working on lessons based on their individual level of Dyslexia. Students have been given a Mastery test to see where they are in the program, so now we will work from there.

How can my student turn their work in for your class?

The students will turn their work in through Google Classroom as well as through paper/participation in class.

What are your office hours?

Currently, my office hours are during 2nd period and 8th period, please refer to my teacher schedule on the home page for times)

Is there homework for this class?

There will only be homework if the assignments are not completed in class due to behavior on the student's part.

How can I make sure my student is doing their work?

You can fill out a Google Classroom access form (click here!) , or by checking Skyward. I will be posting grades every Friday afternoon.

What supplies will my student need?

3 ring binder, pencils, paper, highlighters. Student may also wish to have their own copy of a dictionary.

My student is having an issue, how can I contact you?

If your student is having any issues at all, please feel free to contact me using the information on the homepage. I will be happy to help! your students can also see me anytime during the day to talk. I'm always here to help!

When are tutorials?

Please set up a tutorial time with me at least one day prior to the time needed.

My student is failing! What can we do to bring their grade up?

If your student is failing, please first check to see if they are missing any assignments! If they are still failing, I ask that you email me so that we can discuss a plan to help your student succeed at amlopez@galenaparkisd.com
