Kaylee Sarai Salazar was born on the night of June 5, 2011, at 9:50 pm at Saint Joseph's Hospital along with her twin sister Janice Salazar making Kaylee the oldest by 19 minutes. Shortly two months after she was born her parents found out she had a cyst in one of her ovaries and needed urgent surgery to get it removed before it started to grow and become a real threat to her. Throughout the early stages of life, she was a challenge to her parents. Considering that she is a twin, there were many times when her parents were not able to tell them apart. To this day there is a belief that Kaylee and Janice might have been switched before turning a year. Although this has never been a problem for Kaylee she still chooses to identify as Kaylee. As time went on she started to notice she was really good at learning new things. Kaylee has specialized herself in the Science curriculum, and her love for science grew bigger after she visited a state park that had many dinosaur findings. Although science is the subject she mostly excels in, her interest in the arts won over her heart. The love for painting and learning new languages plays a big part in her after-school life.
Kaylee's hobbies consist of a few things such as camping, baking, listening to crime podcasts, and learning new languages. Camping has been a big part of Kaylee's life ever since she was four or five. She would always go on vacation to the river every year until Covid happened. kaylee has gotten a new interest in baking. She loves to bake with friends while having a good time messing around and making a mess. One of the things she loves to bake the most is brownies. Kaylee loves learning about serial killers, unsolved cases, murders, and missing people. She does not know why she has such a big interest in them she just does. Knowing multiple languages has always been something Kaylee has wanted to do. So she tried to learn sign language but soon gave up, then she decided she would learn French, and although she is learning French she couldn't help but add 5 more languages to that list.
Many of Kaylee's accomplishments have to do with school. Such as getting into encounters, teaching herself calligraphy, and staying in all advanced classes. The GT program "Encounters" had always been something that seemed like it was out of reach for Kaylee. She took the test two or maybe even three times, and all ended in failure. When she got her letter telling her she got in she was thrilled. She finally achieved what she had been working on for years. In fifth grade, she had discovered calligraphy. For some reason, she grew fond of it, so she started to teach herself. Every day after school she would get her sister's tablet and a piece of paper so that she could practice it. Kaylee gradually improved over time, and although she doesn't use it often, it has made its way into her regular handwriting. For Kaylee, it was somewhat easy to stay on top of things. Due to the fact that she can catch on quickly with what she's being told. Unless it is something simple because she lacks common sense.
Kaylee has one main goal in life; that goal is to be a paleontologist. To accomplish that she plans on staying in all advanced classes. While she focuses on school she will be learning French, Italian, and German for the time being. She plans to focus on things that will look good on her college resume. Such as awards, GPA, extracurricular activities, volunteering, and internships. This is so that she can get her master's or doctorate degree. Kaylee knows it's a long shot so she has a plan-b ready in case it does not work out. Her plan-b will be to become a real estate agent with her sister.
