Important steps to playing the Ukulele

• Hold the ukulele body flat against your belly.

• Fret with the left hand and strum/pluck with the right hand.

• Use the pad of your right thumb to pluck each string.

• Pluck the strings where the neck and the body of the ukulele meet.

• Use the correct fringers on the fretboard. Keep your left thumb behind the neck to support your fingers.

• Do not press on the fret wire. If you do not get a clean sound, make sure you are pressing firmly in the middle of the fret.

• Strum chords by brushing lightly down across all four strings with the pad of your right thumb.
