Health and Wellness SHSM at Woodstock Collegiate Institute

What is SHSM?

The Health and Wellness SHSM gives students in grade 11 and 12 a head start by developing sector-specific skills and knowledge before graduation. It offers the opportunity to explore careers in healthcare and community services, all while earning valuable certifications like First Aid and CPR. Through hands-on experiences and co-op placements, students gain practical skills in fields such as nursing, social work, and nutrition. This program thoroughly prepares students for various post-secondary pathways, including apprenticeships, college, university, or entry-level positions in the workforce.
