Extra Beat Take a Seat

Choose a random rhythm and practice it as a class

The class must perform it three times and three times only. If anyone make an "extra beat" (i.e. start to play a fourth time), they are out.

The remaining students continue to try until everyone gets it right. 

Once everyone gets it right, the round is over. Everyone comes back in and plays the rhythm 5 times.

The game continues, moving up by odds until you get to 9.

Once you get 9 right, move onto the next "Random Rhythm"
