November 7 - Report Cards Home

 November 11-Remembrance Day Assembly - 10 am

November 13, 14 - Parent/Teacher Interviews but these can be done anytime after viewing the report cards

In the classroom this month: 

Language: We will continue with our reading comprehension strategy this month of making connections. When reading, the students will be focusing on making connections to:  themselves (Text to self), other books (Text to text) and the world (Text to world). We will step into visualizing to help us understand texts.

Writing: We will also be producing paragraphs that will feature more descriptive writing as well as looking at ways to keep our writing organized and on topic through various graphic organizers.

Math: We will begin on data literacy. There are many expectations to be covered and can be found here. We are going to continue with Financial Literacy. Expectations can be found here We will also continue to work on problem solving and number sense.

Science - We are continuing with our unit on Structures with research. After that, we will start our unit on Forces. Curriculum information can be found here
