Hi our names are Olivia and Mikayla. We are two grade 8 students who decided to create a produce stand for our entrepreneurial market project.Our business is called Lettuce Turnip The Beet because we wanted a name that was funny, creative and still resembles what are stand is selling. We both enjoy being creative and trying new things, and this project gave us the chance to work as a team and learn what it’s like to run a small business. We also care about helping people make healthy choices and understand the importance of fresh food.We chose to sell produce because fruits and vegetables are useful, healthy choices, and something families can actually use at home. Instead of selling something people might only use once, we wanted to sell something fresh and local.
