What is the H3-ELP Program?
The Thames Valley District School Board is very excited to be offering students an opportunity to join our grade 10 multi-credit environmental program through our London Environmental Education Centre.
H3-ELP stands for Head, Heart, Hands Environmental Learning Program. It’s a transformative learning experience that encourages students to:
Understand environmental issues (Head)
Care deeply about their impact (Heart)
Take meaningful action in their community (Hands)
Projects are designed to make a real difference locally, while helping students build transferable skills and become active citizens.
Learning outdoors offers a unique context for:
Experiential and active learning
Discovery and problem-solving
Authentic connections with nature
Wetlands restoration at Hodges Pond
Tree Blitz sessions
Environmental Education Conferences (UTRCA)
👥Who Can Apply?
To be eligible:
Students must be enrolled in a full timetable of Grade 9 credits at a TVDSB secondary school
Students must register for their home school via My Blueprint during the regular registration period
If accepted, students will work with their Guidance Counsellor to adjust their courses
H3-ELP Students not enrolled in H3-ELP for one semester should plan to take:
History
Mathematics
Two electives
Students and parents will need to submit the relevant application and consent forms by clicking the buttons located below. Students will need to sign into the application portal with their @gotvdsb.ca login credentials.
