Tundra Ecosystem

Tundra ecosystems are located in polar regions or on the tops of high mountains.

These ecosystems are frozen and snow-covered most of the year. Here, winters are very cold and long. In the summer, the grounds might start to thaw out, but the summer months are short.

Sometimes, in the summer, you will find that small wildflowers might grow and attract migrating birds.
