Dear GPA Families,
Welcome back to a new fantastic year! This year will be a little different as we will be working and learning from our own homes, however, I could not be more excited to get to know all of you as the year progresses. This year, I will be teaching 7th Grade Science. I am excited for our students to have the opportunity to think critically about scientific concepts and enhance their problem solving skills. We have a lot of exciting science projects this upcoming school year and I am so excited to get to know our amazing eagles both as individuals and as learners.
Although this year will commence differently, I want our GPA families to rest assured that I am here to help ensure all of our eagles are successful. I understand that this is new to all of us, but I am looking forward to working together with you in navigating this new terrain. I am here to support you both academically and emotionally. Together we will learn, grow, and overcome any challenges.

Overview of class
Course Description
Integrated Science draws from research done in biology, engineering, physics, mathematics, and chemistry to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the world. The course encourages curiosity and provides fundamental skills to enhance critical thinking and problem solving. Integrated Science presents students with an opportunity to develop a passion for science and examine current real world problems.
Distance Learning:
I recognize that this school year will look very different than our traditional school year. Instead of in-person instruction, we will be meeting everyday on Zoom. The format will vary from short instruction, groups, breakout sessions, synchronous (together), asynchronous (independently), and we may have pre-recorded videos or work to complete prior to class. I understand that this is new to all of us, but I am looking forward to working together with you in navigating this new terrain. I am here to support you both academically and emotionally. Together we will learn, grow, and overcome any challenges.

Hi, I'm Ms. Mohamed! I am excited to be joining the GPA team this year. As a graduate of SDSU and native San Diegan, I'm happy to be serving the San Diego community. As a teacher, I believe that learning can and should be fun & connect to the real world. I am excited that I get to help our students become educated and informed science literate citizens.
