Dear GPA Families,

First of all, please let me say how excited I am to be a part of this community and to get to know your child. This is my first year at GPA, but I have been teaching for 9 years, so please know that I am very dedicated to the profession and passionate about working with kids. This year will pose unique challenges, but I know that with your support, flexibility, and understanding, we will get through this together and (I hope) look back and breathe a sigh of relief when the pandemic has ended. Although we are all stressed about the uncertainty that the future may bring, I cannot tell you how excited I am to watch your child grow and thrive, digitally and (in due time) face to face. I am always available if you or your child has questions or needs additional support.

Estimadas Familias de GPA,

En primer lugar, permítanme decirles lo emocionado que estoy de ser parte de esta comunidad y conocer a su hijo o hija. Este es mi primer año en GPA, pero he estado enseñando durante 9 años, así que sepan que estoy muy dedicado a la profesión de educación y me apasiona trabajar con estudiantes. Este año presentará desafíos únicos, pero yo sé que con su apoyo, flexibilidad y comprensión, superaremos esto juntos y (espero) mirar hacia atrás y dar un suspiro de alivio cuando la pandemia haya terminado. Aunque todos estamos estresados por la incertidumbre que puede traer el futuro, no puedo decirles lo emocionado que estoy de ver su hijo crecer y prosperar, digitalmente y (a su debido tiempo) cara a cara. Siempre estoy disponible si usted o su hijo/hija tienen preguntas o necesitan apoyo adicional.

Mute your mic: Mute yourself when it is not your turn to talk

Presentation: Check your surroundings and your uniform

Participate: Be focused. Pay attention. Be an active participant!

Communicate: If you need to leave, or are experiencing tech issues, communicate via e-mail or chat message

Chat Responsibly: Keep the chat on topic and respond respectfully as you would in person
