What We Offer
Boarding & Training
We offer multiple training packages ranging from 5 to 15 days. Your dog will stay with us in our home during the week and conclude with a private lesson before your dog goes home for the weekend.
While your dog is training with us, it will learn general obedience* such as leash walking, kennel training and basic commands (come, sit, place, etc.) as well as how to properly use a remote collar.
Throughout the week you will receive instructional videos where the trainer is working with your dog. These videos also show the progression of your dog's training.
*We do not certify service dogs, but we do provide the foundation of training that service dogs require.
In-Home Boarding
In-Home Boarding is a climate-controlled boarding service within our personal home with standard kennels sized appropriately for dog's comfort. Dogs will be in a low stress environment, as well as in an active engagement with our family. They will have times during the day that they are working/training and other moments where playtime will be provided. Your dog will be treated as part of our family.
Private Lessons
Private Lessons are one hour lessons where we work with the owner and their dog one-on-one. During this time we guide the owner on how to reinforce the training the dog learned during their in-home boarding.
Private lessons are included with our training packages. Additional private lessons can be purchased as needed after completion of one of our training packages.
Extended Boarding
Extended boarding is available to clients that have completed one of our training packages. As well as caring for your dog, we will reinforce the training your dog has received.
Whether you are going on vacation, have an emergency, or want additional training days for your dog, we are here for you.
Meet Your Trainer
My name is Sarah Rock. I have been a dog trainer since 2016. I am a certified Remote Collar trainer, a Canine Good Citizenship evaluator and Pet Tech first-aid certified.
My entire life I have lived with and loved animals, having a special place in my heart for rescue dogs. There is an affinity between the dogs and myself that comes naturally.
My passion is to help people have a meaningful relationship with their dog. Enhancing the bond, developed by training, each client can reach their individual home training goals. The long list of satisfied clients supports my success record in training all type of dog breeds.
Meet Our Family
Meet Eddie, Sarah, Leela, and Leonidas. Eddie is a retired Army veteran and Sarah was born and raised in Texas. We have lived in Killeen since 2011 and served the local area since 2016. We are looking forward to you joining the Gold Paw family!
