VISION
Touching Lives, Making a Difference.
Providing fresh vegetables to local people was the main reason the garden was started in 2000. It has grown to include growing vegetables purposely for food pantries. The vision also includes being an educational resource for teaching and sharing knowledge we have gained over the past 18 years or more, helping young people attain community service hours, bringing the local community together, etc. We hope you will come out and visit the garden, too. This is God’s Garden, His creation, grown to honor and serve Him.
Why do we do this work?
God’s Garden, a Christ centered community garden, was established with a mission to provide fresh vegetables for underprivileged communities and to teach people of all ages how to sustainably grow vegetables. We began gardening at another location, but since then that property was sold. We have been graciously granted a new location at 1125 Hwy. 90A, Missouri City, Texas (behind Second Mile Mission) in Fort Bend County. At this new location, we have begun a garden section which is 1/2 acre (est.). The total possible garden area could total 6+ acres in the future. Gods Garden became a 501c3 non-profit in 2016.

GODS GARDEN HAS STARTED A NEW GARDEN AND IS IN NEED OF FINANCIAL & VOLUNTEER HELP TO GET IT UP AND RUNNING. SEE THE PHOTOS. WE ARE IN NEED OF FUNDS TO PURCHASE GYPSUM IN LARGE QUANTITIES DUE TO THE CLAY SOIL.
